Calgary Folks,

Enjoyed Calgary PRIDE but not yet ready to say adieu to PRIDE related activities? Love riding bicycles?

Inviting LGBTQ2S Queer Folks and Allies out on a Queers & Gears PRIDE Ride that celebrates our diversity, bicycles, and one another. Come out for a casual group ride with old and new friends alike.

We will meet at 6:30 PM riverside outside of the Simmons Building in East Village. The Bike Ride will leave at 7:00 PM sharp, and make its way along the river pathway West to and across the Peace Bridge, then back towards East Village. Anyone and everyone is welcome, as well as all cycling levels and abilities! The ride will finish on St. Patrick’s Island at The Rise (big grassy mound in the middle of the park) at approx. 8:30pm for post ride socializing around a fire. Lights are encouraged, bring your bicycle lock, you do you. Invite your friends.

We acknowledge that this ride takes place on the ancestral and traditional territories of the Blackfoot, Dene, and Stoney Peoples, in particular the people of Treaty 7, the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney nations, as well as the Alberta Métis Nation, on whose territory we work, live, and play, and on whose territory we stand.
