Join us for a 4 stop ride in central Calgary where we will be sharing spoken word poetry along the way with some of Calgary's great poetic folks. Sharing poetry that plays into our city, and/or their personal landscape. Come to share, come to listen, the ride will conclude at Cafe Koi for the monthly Expressions : Spoken Word poetry event.
Open Mic starts at 20:00, 10 spot sign up happens at 19:15 (we will arrive just before) and we invite those attending the ride to consider staying to listen and be part of the audience, and/or to share work/words.
This will be a relaxed all-ages group ride, all cycling abilities welcome. We will be utilizing a combination of pathway and cycle-track to arrive at Cafe Koi. Please make sure if you're joining us by bike, that your bike is in safe and working order, Air - Brakes - Chain (ABCs). Young children must be accompanied by a guardian, minors allowed in Koi.
Ride should take approx. an hour, and folks can leave as need be, and/or just meet us for the cafe portion. Consider bringing water, (if relevant) sun precautions, and bike lights for riding after dusk.
Let’s get tuned..
