Santa Scramble
Sunday, December 13 at 12:00pm. Meet at Noon, rolling out at 1pm Sharp
By: BikeBike Inc
You know those movies where there are like a thousand Santa's wreaking havoc on a metropolis as some evil plot to take over the world? Well this is like that only not quite as evil. Like to spread joy and stuff. Dress yourself up as Santa, an Elf, Mrs. Claus or maybe Krampus and join in a fun ride around the city celebrating the festive season.
The plan is to meet up, then pub crawl around downtown spreading good cheer. Please abstain from bringing coal. Even the naughty are nice.
We also want to spread the cheer to those that are not as fortunate as us. In order to attend the AMAZINGLY FUN SANTA SCRAMBLE there is a suggested donation of $20 which will go to the Calgary Food Bank (of course you can pay what you can if $20 is too much for you).
All the pubs on the route are family friendly this year, so feel free to bring along those little Santa's and mini elves if you like.
We'll meet at CRAFT on 10th Ave SW then meander over to the Oak Tree in Kensington then finish off the ride at the Ship and Anchor with some of their amazing eggnog.
Note From The Organizer:
The forecast temperatures are looking to be very very cold, arounf -20c on Sunday. These are the sorts of temperatures that can quickly lead to no fun, frostbite, and difficult conditions to cycle in.
That being said, we are hoping for a slight warm up to around -15c but if it does not happen we will CANCEL the event.
