The 4th Annual Renfrew Bike Day is happening on May 30th from 12:00pm to 2:pm on the grounds of the Renfrew Community Centre. It's almost summer, so if you haven't dusted off your bikes it's time to do so!  This year there'll be hotdogs, bike decorating, an obstacle course, and a bike parade.  Fun for all ages!

There will also be a group ride that will be departing from the RCA grounds at 2:00pm.  This will be a leisurely 8 km bike ride through the streets, alleys and pathways of beautiful Renfrew.  We anticipate that this ride will take about 45 minutes.  Everyone is welcome to attend this street ride, but riders wishing to bring children are responsible for ensuring their safety.  Please meet us near the playground 15 minutes before the ride so that we can organize.

As well, our city councillor Gian-Carlo Cara, Bike Calgary President Kimberley Nelson and the City of Calgary Bike Ambassadors will be in attendance.

Bike Calgary is a dedicated group that promotes cycling in Calgary. Check out their website, and come say 'Hi' to Kimberley.

The Bike Ambassadors will be there to educate us all about the new Cycle Track Network.  This is a very exciting development for Calgary which will make cycling downtown a truly pleasurable experience.  Stop by to look at the maps and talk to them about this development.
