Kids CAN-BIKE, for cyclists age 9-13 is intended to teach basic and fundamental bicycle skills and road rules as well as empowering youth with the critical knowledge and experience to use their bikes as transportation (and of course recreation). Includes safety equipment, bike maintenance, group riding and route selection. Taught by a Certified CAN-BIKE Instructor with a qualified Assistant Instructor in a small group setting to maximize learning opportunities.

This is not a learn to ride course, all participants must be comfortable riding a bicycle without training wheels.

Course objectives:
Young cyclists learn to ride safely on residential streets.

All participants must provide their own properly fitting bike in good working condition and a current (less than 5 years old) certified bike helmet.
NOTE that this is a multi-day course, all sessions MUST be attended by all participants.
