Mark your calendars - Friday July 5th

Fixed/singlespeed 100km night ride on Calgary's kickass pathway network.

Choose one of the 3 options:

- 40km first loop "Up and Over Nosehill"
- 60km second loop "Southern Fish Creek Loop - highly modified due to flooding..."
- 100km full loop "Fixie Fondo" (both loops together)
(actual route will be slightly different to effectively link them together)

*** THIS RIDE IS SELF SUPPORTED!  BE PREPARED FOR BAD WEATHER AND/OR BUGS AND/OR MECHANICALS/FLATS! ***

Meet at Eau Claire and plan to depart at 8pm sharp.  Due to the longish nature of the ride we will not be waiting for stragglers but will have "safety meetings" scheduled approximately every hour.   The average pace will be approximately 25 kph.

Schedule (subject to change)

8pm - Depart Eau Claire, full loop or 40km loop
9pm - Safety Meeting on top of Nosehill
10:15-10:30pm - Safety Meeting at Eau Claire, pick up 60km loopers
11:30pm-ish - Safety Meeting in west Fish Creek Park (subject to change due to flooding)
*** Optional bail out at 162nd C-train station ***
1am-ish - Safety Meeting on Sue Higgins Bridge (subject to change due to flooding)
2am-ish - Safety Meeting under the Deerfoot, official end of the ride.

Sounds like fun, eh?

If you have any questions leave us a comment and we'll get back to you asap.

  1. Just a heads-up to prospective riders – this is a fairly fast ride and due to the epic nature we do not wait for stragglers.

There will be “safety meeting” stops roughly every 60min’s or so for about 10-20min’s depending on how bad the bugs are.

If you are unsure you can make the full distance consider meeting us for either the 40km forst loop or 60km second loop.

  2. Hey this sounds great, I’m going to do the ice cream ride from LifeCycle and will meet you at Eau Claire at 10:00. Depending on time I might not get ice cream but I will be there for the F-60.

    • Cool. Keep in mind we are “aiming” to be at Eau Claire at 10pm and leaving for the 60km loop at 1030pm sharp.
